Eagle’s Lookout Reviews

Why You Shoud Choose The Lodge!

5 star ratingJust returned from a family trip to Duck Creek Village, Utah.  We were fortunate enough to be able to stay in The Lodge at Duck Creek, right in the village. The 5 of us stayed at this lovely establishment that  consisted of 6 condos that were all  3 bedrooms, and 4 bath units.  I do believe the two pent houses also have a loft that will sleep up to 14 guests. The kitchens in the condos all have granite counter tops with new stainless steel appliances. They also have a washer and dryer for those who like to pack light.  We brought  up groceries, as the nearest real grocery store was 29 miles away in Cedar City.  I prepared a full meal  as there were pots , pans, serving dishes, and just about anything else you may need.  Our host, Michael made us feel right at home, and made certain that all our needs were met.  Michael also answered any questions we had about Duck Creek and the surrounding area.  The units were beautifully furnished and sparkling clean.  We enjoyed the flat screen TV sitting in front of the gas fireplace after a day of exploring Duck Creek.  There is also a beautiful little church in the meadow across from the lodge. It was just lovely to listen to the bells play melodies at times throughout the day.  I hope you get a chance to visit Duck Creek Creek Village The area is so clear, crisp and relaxing.  if you do, Michael from the Lodge at Duck Creek will be waiting to greet you and make your stay as special, as he did for us.  Thank you, Michael for introducing our family to Duck Creek and your beautiful lodge.  We will be back soon.

Such a cute lodge! We stayed in Lodge #1, Fisherman's Landing. The kitchen is pretty well stocked, but if there are specific spices you like, you should bring them. There are plenty of toilets for everyone! The master bedroom has a walk-in shower, which was really nice and big. Mr. Jim, the on-site manager was extremely helpful. Each "apartment" has their own grill. Make sure you bring food from home, or stop in Cedar City on the way up the hill. There is a gas station and an awesome Ace Hardware that has necessities, but it's more expensive than if you would bring food up. The village is so cute. We'll be back!

5 star ratingWe made a last minute decision to get away for a couple of days and head to the mountains for some snow.  A friend recommended the Lodge at Duck Creek, so we made reservations on-line and came up the mountain from Southern California.

It was well worth the trip.  14" of snow fell our first day !  Exactly what we were hoping for.  The accommodations far surpassed our expectations: spacious, clean and comfortable.  There was enough room for my family to spread out and relax.  Every room was so clean, it felt as if we were the first to visit.  The kitchen had everything from new appliances to all the utensils needed to prepare and enjoy a meal.

The view of the meadow from the great room was just like a Christmas card !  During the day we were able to rent a snowmobile complete with a guide who showed us around the Duck Creek Village area.  What a blast.

During the evening, I was able to enjoy Directv on a big screen TV while my teenagers especially enjoyed the WIFI.

Mike and Christine are friendly and nice, excellent hosts and neighbors during our stay.

We are looking forward to coming back in the summer to enjoy another season at the Lodge.

Situated about half way between Bryce and Zion, this is a great place to stay. All the villas are 3 bedroom suites of around 1400 square feet. 2 1/2 baths. :Linens are better than hotel grade and our mattress was great.

The kitchen is well stocked, and meal preparation there is not a problem. Beside the well furnished kitchen, there is a 4-burner grill outside on the deck that is hooked up to piped-in propane. Ours was clean and well-maintained.

Large TV and fireplace in the living room, and great views off the front porch.

What you need to know is that the nearest full grocery store is 20 (?) miles away, so buying groceries on the way is a must unless you like to drive or plan to eat out. The restaurants in Duck Creek are fine, but nothing to write home about. So plan ahead.

Both John and Jim went out f their way to make sure everything was right. Very accommodating.

We'll go back again.

5 star ratingWhat a great find.  We are enjoying the Eagles Nest Suite - with its new, spacious and breathtaking view of the peaceful countryside it sits on.  The owner Mike is friendly, helpful and

rightfully proud of his beautiful lodge.  We are only sorry we can't stay longer.  It is a perfect place to bring an entire family to stay while visiting both Bryce and Zion.  It has great kitchen and sleeping accommodations.
